where will my session take place?

My sessions take place in the great outdoors. Whether you’re looking for a beach, park, woods, or a stylish downtown area, I’ve shot at some of the best.

*Please note: some locations do incur additional fees.*

What is included in my session?

Sessions can include different things, for instance the session time, number of digitals, bonuses such as wardrobe changes or basic prints, etc. The minimum would be your session time, an online viewing gallery, and typically a small number of digitals.

travel fee & turn around time

Some locations incur a travel fee, however I have found that these locations tend to result in the most incredible imagery. The fee depends on the location, amount of travel, etc, and starts around $25.

Typically, it takes about 1-2 weeks of processing and then your online gallery will be ready for viewing. You will then have access to this gallery for 2 weeks, allowing you time to make your print and purchase orders. Product turn around time depends on the item(s) purchased.

do you edit all photos

Not all photos are edited, and only finalized portraits are available for purchase. Throughout your session, many photos will be taken. However, not all photos are usable (people blink, hair blows wildly in the wind, etc). Therefore, only the best images are chosen to become portraits.

why hire me

My passion for photography drives my desire to give my clients the best I possibly can. My goal for clients is to have beautiful portraits of themselves and family displayed in their home for not just years, but for generations. While other photographers may be satisfied with snapping a bunch of photos and unloading the digitals to their clients, most of which will end up lost or corrupt, I pride myself in giving them something tangible. I want your grandchildren and their children to be able to look back at your portraits and tell your story. I want to help you preserve your legacy.

how to book

Simply click Book Now to get started! You will be redirected to my contact form, and I will be in touch within one business day (typically sooner). From there we will schedule an in person consultation to go over your photography needs, set expectations, and sign the necessary paperwork. At the end of your consultation, you can book your session by paying a non-refundable retainer of 40% of the package price which is required to hold your appointment.

what if it rains

As a Floridian, I know that our weather can be fairly unpredictable. For the week approaching your session, I will closely monitor the weather for the date, time, and location we will be shooting. Should the weather reports indicate rain of 20% or higher for that day, and it remains that way up until 1-2 days prior to your session, the session will need to be rescheduled for the safety and comfort of my clients, myself, and my gear.

why offer a free consultation

An in person consultation is a great way to get to know one another, discuss ideas, and make that client/photographer connection. This will provide us both with important information necessary for a successful portrait session, as well as take care of important paperwork including a client profile and photography contract in the event you decide to book with me. If you are unable to meet in person, a phone consultation is may be sufficient and I can mail you a packet of information.

how long are sessions

A general portrait session takes roughly 45 minutes. Your session time will be discussed during your consultation, and times vary based on photography needs as well as the type of session. For instance, a Mini Session is typically around 15 minutes, whereas a newborn session could take hours.

payment options

I accept cash, Zelle, and PayPal*. The retainer must be paid at the time of booking, and the session fee must be paid the day of the session, prior to it beginning.

*PayPal incurs a 5% processing fee.

rescheduling & Cancellations

A rescheduling request should be made 2 business days prior to the scheduled session date to avoid any fees or additional retainer. In the event of a cancellation, the retainer is forfeited and a new retainer will be required to secure a second session appointment. Should a rescheduling request be made less than 2 business days prior to the session date, any fees or additional retainer(s) will be required.

what happens after the shoot

After your session I will cull your gallery, choose the best images for editing, and upload your final portraits to your online gallery. From your online gallery you can choose your complimentary digitals and decide which portraits you would like to purchase for wall art, prints, an album or book, or a USB.

what products do i offer

I pride myself in being a full service photographer by offering the best mediums for preserving and displaying your portraits. Everything I offer comes with a 100/200 year rating, guaranteeing heirloom quality above the rest. This means your portraits will not begin to degrade for 100 years when being displayed on your walls, nor will they begin to degrade for 200 years in dark, dry storage.

How to prepare for your session

There are so many things to take into consideration once you have booked your session. Everything from wardrobe, to makeup, hair, and more. You can read my Wardrobe Must Knows blog to get an idea as to wardrobe do’s and don’ts, and keep your eye on my blogs for more wonderful info to help ease any stress you may be feeling from session preparation!

Can I see the photos as you take them?

I do not allow clients to see their images on the back of the camera. One reason is your images won’t look the same finished as they do SOOC (straight out of camera) due to retouching and creative edits. Another is that we all have things we are all self conscious about, and the last thing I want my clients to worry about is any imperfection they might see and fixate on after seeing their image from the back of my camera. Once this happens, it’s tricky for the client to get out of their head and their concern can come across in photos as a lack of confidence and shine.
